It has pubs, cafes, museums and other attractions. the house is adjacent to the castle and backs on to the Wye Valley walk.
It is a good base for exploring the Wye Valley. Tintern Abbey is nearby. The Brecon Hills and the Forest of Dean are within easy reach.
There are many good walks within the locality and the owners will be pleased to share their local knowledge.
